Rain outside. Veuve inside. Let’s get married.

When Ash - the creative genius behind fashion label SABBI - asked me to photograph her + Jase’s Brisbane elopement, I knew we were going to have a bloody good time.

The rain was absolutely BUCKETING down, so plans changed and their penthouse hotel room became the ceremony spot. Close family and friends squeezed in, the Veuve started flowing and these two made it official - an intimate little Australian elopement before their big Italian wedding to come.

And obviously, Ash brought the fashion. The cutest Être Marie mini, SABBI x MadMind boots and an incredible netted bow handmade by my very own milliner mum. A LOOK.

She walked into a Mallrat song (major fangirl moment for me), they had their first married pash and from there… the party was ON.

Champagne-fuelled hallway struts, flash photography, room-service chaos and basically everything on the menu. We shot a mix of film + digital and just let the night unfold.

A little rebellious, a lotta stylish and proof that sometimes Plan B is way more fun anyway.
