Kirsty & Lukas
RICHMOND, MELBOURNE
Sexy, romantic, playful - and one hell of a showstopper.
I’ve known Kirsty for years, so when she asked me to photograph her wedding, I already knew it was going to be something pretty bloody special. And yep… she DELIVERED.
Kirsty wanted the whole day to feel sexy, romantic and playful, with bold little nods to love woven throughout. Red roses, love hearts, Bulgari sparkle and THAT incredible pink silk faille gown by Velani - luxurious, feminine and completely Kirsty.
Lukas brought his own magic, wearing Kirsty’s family’s traditional MacGillivray tartan kilt as a beautiful nod to her heritage. Even their Frenchie fur babies, Cleopatra + Muchacho, joined the ceremony - naturally.
Then the rain came. And I mean TORRENTIAL rain. So we threw the portrait plan out the window and ended up shooting at the Town Hall instead - which somehow couldn’t have suited their sexy, fashion-forward energy more perfectly.
Later came outfit number two, tattoos for the guests by Tommy Baker, and a party that was every bit as cool as these two. Kirsty slipped into another version of her pink gown, while Lukas changed into Reigner, and the whole night just kept getting better.
Pink silk, red roses, tartan, tattoos and a little rain-soaked magic.
Bold, deeply personal and completely their own - and now immortalised in print in Together Journal Issue 38. ❤️🩷
